The Zellige Privacy Screen Panel is a 1800 mm high plasma-cut mild steel screen featuring a star-and-rosette lattice inspired by Moorish tilework. It is cut from 3 mm steel in 900 mm or 1200 mm widths, with a side frame for fixing to timber posts or battens.
A geometric lattice is one of the best patterns for a screen: it closes down a view evenly across the whole panel while throwing beautiful shadows when the sun comes through. Use it to wrap a dining terrace, to hide the side return from a patio, or as a backdrop to potted citrus and lavender. It also looks smart indoors-out, lined up in front of a plain rendered wall where the shadow becomes part of the design.
Finishes are satin black, anthracite grey and raw steel. The two colours are powder coated and give a durable coloured finish. Raw steel arrives bare and will rust outdoors to an orange-brown patina, which suits terracotta and warm stone beautifully, but the run-off can stain pale tiles, paving or render underneath.
There are six Ø8 mm holes in the 30 mm side frame. Screw them into a pair of timber posts or onto battens, and the screen is up.
Brush fallen leaves from the lattice now and then and wash coated finishes with mild soapy water. Zellige screens are made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email.
How much does it screen?
The even lattice closes down the view across the whole panel while still letting light and air through, so it screens without feeling solid.
Will the raw steel finish rust?
Yes. Raw mild steel rusts to an orange-brown patina outdoors, and run-off can stain pale surfaces below.

Screw through the six Ø8 mm holes in the 30 mm side frame into timber posts or battens. Screws are not included.
