Choose your material

• Mild steel: general fabrication. Paint or coat it for outdoor use.
• 304 stainless: the everyday grade for indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
• 316 stainless: best near the coast, pools, salt or chemicals.

How to order

1. Pick your material and the width and length band that covers your size.
2. Type your exact size in mm as you add to basket.
3. We plasma cut, deburr and pack it.
4. Delivery is added at checkout.

Delivery

• £25 UK mainland box delivery for strips up to 1000 mm long, orders up to 30 kg.
• Bigger or heavier orders go on a pallet, priced by postcode.
• Made to order. We email your dispatch date.

Questions

Is it the same as flat bar?
Not quite. Flat bar has rolled edges; our strip is plasma cut from sheet, so both long edges are cut and deburred.

How much does a 50 × 1000 mm strip weigh?
About 1.2 kg in 3 mm mild steel.

Can you cut holes in the strip?
Strips here are plain. For holes or slots, send a drawing.

Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, £70 per piece ordered online. For several small pieces, send us the sizes and we will price them as a batch.

Can I return cut-to-size metal?
Pieces cut to your size cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty or incorrect items are covered. See Returns.
