Tidewater Plasma-Cut Slot-Together Fire Pit – Mild Steel
The Tidewater Slot-Together Fire Pit is a flat-pack fire pit in 4 mm mild steel, its four plasma-cut sides patterned with bold rolling waves, curling crests and flying spray. It measures 500 mm wide by 420 mm high in the standard size, and there is also a Large 650 mm option.
There is something satisfying about watching flames dance behind a line of breaking waves. Set it up on a sheltered terrace, a paved seating area, or a gravel spot by the shed for long summer evenings, or take it apart and bring it to a campsite that allows fires. The optional grill grate turns it into a simple cooking fire for burgers and toasted marshmallows.
It slots together without a single tool. The four identical panels hook into each other at the corners, then the base plate tabs lock through the slots in the sides. No welding, no bolts, and it flat-packs again for the shed.
Finish choices are raw steel and high-heat black. Left raw, the steel rusts outdoors to an orange-brown patina, and the heat of the fire will darken and colour it further; rust can leave marks on pale paving, so a darker slab or gravel is a good base.
Fire safety matters: keep the pit on a non-flammable surface such as paving or gravel, never on decking or grass. Never leave a fire unattended, and wait until it has cooled fully before moving it.
Each fire pit is made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email.

Questions
Can I use it on decking or grass?
No. Keep it on a non-flammable surface such as paving or gravel, never on decking or grass. Never leave a fire unattended, and let the fire pit cool fully before moving it.
Is it easy to take apart?
Yes. It is slot-together with no tools or welding, so it flat-packs for storage or for taking to a site where fires are permitted.
What sizes are available?
Standard 500 mm (500 mm wide, 420 mm high) and Large 650 mm.
Will it rust or stain my patio?
Raw steel rusts outdoors to an orange-brown patina, and fire heat also changes the colour of the steel. Rust can stain pale paving, so gravel or darker slabs make a good base.
Can I get it made in a custom size?
Yes. If you need a different width, height or layout, send us the details through our Custom Plasma Cutting quote form and we'll come back to you with a price.
