The Tidewater Metal Side Gate is an 1800 mm tall garden gate featuring a plasma-cut mild steel infill of bold rolling waves, curling crests and flying spray. You can order it 900 mm or 1000 mm wide, as a complete welded gate or as the patterned infill panel on its own.
Waves running up the full height of the gate give a side entrance real presence. It is a natural choice for a seaside home, a coastal cottage passage, or a garden where the house is painted in whites and blues, and it looks equally good hung in a timber-post opening or between rendered piers.
Order the complete welded gate and it is fabricated and welded in our workshop, with the 3 mm wave infill set within a steel box-section frame, ready for you to hang. Hinges and latch are not included, which lets you match hardware to your posts. The infill panel only option is 3 mm plate sized to weld or bolt into your own frame, handy if you are refreshing an existing gate.
For a gate near the coast, the powder-coated satin black or anthracite grey finishes are the practical pick, giving a durable coloured finish. Raw steel is also offered: it will rust outdoors to an orange-brown patina, quicker in salty air, and rust run-off can stain a pale path or threshold.
