Swallows Plasma-Cut Metal Wall Art Set of 5 – Mild Steel

£44.99

This is a set of five swallow metal wall art pieces: plasma-cut steel birds in graduated sizes, each with the swallow's unmistakable forked tail. Arrange them as a flock sweeping across a wall and they bring a real sense of summer movement to a room or garden.

Because every bird is separate, the layout is yours. Run them in a rising diagonal up a stairwell, curve them over a doorway, or scatter them loosely above a bed or across a garden wall beside climbing roses. They look particularly good on a chimney breast or over a kitchen dresser, where the flock leads the eye along.

The largest bird measures 335 mm wide by 230 mm tall, and the others step down in size to give the flock depth. All five are cut from 3 mm mild steel.

Each swallow has one 5 mm fixing hole. For a floating shadow effect, mount them on 10 mm stand-off spacers so the birds sit just off the wall and cast a second silhouette when the light moves around. Spacers and screws are your choice to suit the wall.

Satin black is a durable coloured powder-coated finish and gives the classic dark swallow silhouette. Raw steel will rust outdoors to an orange-brown patina. Rust patina gives a weathered, earthy look from the start, lovely on a brick garden wall.

Each one is made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email. Dust indoors now and then. Outdoors, bear in mind rust from raw or rust patina birds can streak pale render beneath them.
