The Saltmarsh Low Front Garden Gate is a 900 × 1000 mm mild steel gate with a plasma-cut infill of swaying reeds, bulrushes and seed-headed grasses. It is available as a complete welded gate or as the infill panel only, in 3 mm steel.
At 1000 mm tall it is sized for the front path rather than the side passage: the gate between a low wall and the pavement, the entrance to a cottage garden, or the opening in a picket or railing boundary. The upright reeds keep it light and welcoming, so the front of the house stays visible from the street while dogs and small children stay in.
The complete welded gate is fabricated and welded in our workshop around the reed infill. Hinges and latch are not included, leaving you free to match fittings to your posts or pillars. If you are updating an old gate or building your own frame, the infill panel only gives you just the 3 mm patterned plate.
Choose from satin black, anthracite grey or raw steel. Satin black is the traditional front-gate look and, like anthracite grey, is powder coated for a durable coloured finish. Raw steel is left bare and will rust outdoors to an orange-brown patina; rust run-off can mark a pale tiled path or a stone step, so consider what sits beneath.
Keep hinges oiled and wash coated finishes now and then. Your gate is made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email.
