Robin Plasma-Cut Garden Stake – Mild Steel
The Robin Metal Garden Stake is a plasma-cut mild steel silhouette of a plump robin perched on a leafy twig, mounted on its own ground spike.
Robins are the bird most of us notice first in a British garden, turning up whenever the soil is being dug and staying close through the winter. This one sits on its twig with its chest puffed out, tail cocked, the way a real robin watches a gardener at work.
Stand it in a border near the back door, among winter pansies in a front garden, or in the vegetable patch where the real ones come looking for worms. It also makes a thoughtful Christmas or memorial gift for a keen gardener.
The stake is plasma-cut in one piece from 3 mm mild steel and measures 275 mm wide × 625 mm high, including the integral ground spike. It comes as a single stake or as a pair (save on two), handy for flanking a path or a gate. Push the spike 250–300 mm into firm soil; nothing else is needed.
Finish options are raw steel, rust patina and satin black. Raw steel will rust to an orange-brown patina outdoors, which suits planting well; the rust patina finish gives you that aged look from the start and will carry on weathering. Satin black is a durable coloured finish that shows up crisply against foliage and snow. Rust runoff can mark nearby paving, so keep it in soil rather than beside pale slabs.

Questions
Will it rust?
Raw steel will rust to an orange-brown patina outdoors, and the rust patina option starts with that weathered look and keeps weathering. Satin black is a durable coloured finish if you would rather avoid rust tones.
How do I put it in the ground?
Push the integral spike 250–300 mm into firm soil. In loose or sandy soil, firm the earth around it after inserting.
Is it a good gift?
It makes a thoughtful Christmas or memorial gift for a gardener. It is made to order, so allow for that when planning a gift.
Can you make it in a different size?
Yes. Use our Custom Plasma Cutting quote form with the size you need and we will come back to you with a price.
