Fellside Plasma-Cut Slot-Together Fire Pit – Mild Steel
The Fellside Slot-Together Fire Pit is a flat-pack mild steel fire pit made from four plasma-cut panels showing layered fell ridges, a low sun and a pine forest. The standard size is 500 mm wide and 420 mm high in 4 mm steel, with a Large 650 mm version for bigger gatherings.
Once it is lit, firelight glows through the cut-out peaks and pines, so the landscape shows best after dark. It is ideal for evenings on the patio, a gravel corner at the bottom of the garden, or packing into the car for a pitch where fires are permitted. Add the optional grill grate and you can cook sausages or toast bread over the embers.
Assembly needs no tools and no welding. The four identical side panels interlock at the corners, and the base plate tabs lock through the side slots to hold everything square. It comes apart again just as easily for storage over winter.
Choose raw steel or high-heat black. Raw steel will rust outdoors to an orange-brown patina, and heat from the fire will also darken and colour the steel, which is all part of its character. Rust can stain pale paving, so stand it on gravel or darker slabs if that bothers you.
Please use it safely. Keep it on a non-flammable surface such as paving or gravel, not on decking or grass, never leave a fire unattended, and let it cool fully before moving it. Empty the ash once cold.
