Ember Art Deco Plasma-Cut Fireplace Screen – Mild Steel
This is the Ember Art Deco fireplace screen: a free-standing framed steel panel with a large Art Deco sunburst fan rising from a half-sun. Part of our Ember collection, it borrows the bold geometry of 1930s architecture and puts it at the heart of the living room.
It is designed to stand in front of a fireplace opening or a hearth, and it looks just as good dressing an unused fireplace or a chimney breast alcove. The sunbursts suit period homes with original fireplaces as well as modern living rooms with a wood burner surround.
The screen measures 800 mm wide by 600 mm tall and is cut from 3 mm mild steel. It stands on two feet that cross-slot onto the bottom rail, so there are no tools, screws or welding involved: slide the feet on and it stands on its own. Lift them off again to store it flat.
Choose satin black, a durable coloured powder-coated finish that looks classic against brick, tile or stone, or raw steel for a darker, natural metal look. Raw steel will rust to an orange-brown patina if kept outdoors or somewhere damp.
Please use it sensibly around a fire. It is a decorative screen, not a certified spark guard. Never leave a fire unattended, and remember the steel will get hot near an open fire, so let it cool fully before moving it and keep children and pets clear.
Each one is made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email. Dust it with a soft cloth when needed.
