Daybreak Plasma-Cut Fence Topper – Mild Steel
The Daybreak Fence Topper is a plasma-cut mild steel panel showing a rising sun throwing long rays beneath a drifting cloud, made to sit along the top of a garden fence. It is cut from 3 mm steel in two sizes: 1830 × 450 mm, which matches a standard 6 ft fence panel, and 915 × 450 mm for a 3 ft section.
It is a cheerful design, and one that looks best where you catch the morning. Put it on an east-facing fence, above the bench where you have your first coffee, or at the end of a family garden where the children play. A single 3 ft panel also makes a neat feature above a gate or a narrow side return.
Three finishes are available. Satin black and anthracite grey are powder coated for a durable coloured finish, with black giving the strongest contrast between rays and sky. In raw steel, the sun turns a warm rusted orange-brown once it has been outdoors for a while, which suits the motif nicely; the trade-off is that rust run-off can stain pale paving, sills or render below.
Along the foot of the panel is a 40 mm rail with pre-cut Ø8 mm holes, five on the long size and four on the short, for screwing onto a fence top rail or fixing between posts with exterior-grade screws.
Rinse coated panels when they look dusty and let raw steel weather naturally. Each Daybreak topper is made to order in our Knowsley workshop, and we'll confirm your dispatch date by email.

Questions
Where does it look best?
Anywhere you catch the morning light, such as an east-facing fence or above a seating area. A single 915 mm panel also suits a gate or side return.
Will raw steel rust?
Yes. Raw mild steel rusts to an orange-brown patina outdoors, and rust run-off can stain pale surfaces below it.
How do I fit it?
Screw through the pre-cut Ø8 mm holes in the 40 mm bottom rail into your fence top rail or posts. There are five holes on the 1830 mm size and four on the 915 mm size.
Can you cut it to a different size?
Yes. If you need a different width, height or layout, send us the details through our Custom Plasma Cutting quote form and we'll come back to you with a price.
