Ball Valve UK approached us with a unique challenge — they needed a fabricated solution to protect electric actuators from extreme temperatures in a high-heat flow control system.
The valves in question were regulating very hot process media, and direct exposure posed a serious risk to actuator performance and longevity.
HOW DID WE DO IT?
To solve this, we manufactured custom plasma-cut heat extension pieces, designed to increase the distance between the valve and actuator. These bespoke extensions act as a thermal barrier, reducing heat transfer and shielding the actuator from elevated temperatures during continuous operation. Each piece was tailored to precise measurements, ensuring a secure fit between components without compromising control or stability.
This solution not only enhanced system safety but also extended the operational life of the actuators — offering long-term reliability in one of the most demanding environments.
