How to Order Metal Cut to Size Online
Our Buy Metal shop sells 3 mm mild steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel cut to your exact millimetres. Here's how ordering works.
Step by step
Measure in millimetres. Width is the shorter side, length the longer.
Pick the size band that covers your part. A 437 × 1180 mm plate uses Width (up to) 500 mm and Length (up to) 1250 mm. You pay the band price.
Type your exact size into the boxes when you add to basket. We cut to those figures.
Check delivery at checkout. Up to 30 kg of parcel-size pieces is £25 to the UK mainland. Bigger orders go on a pallet priced by postcode.
Questions
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes: every piece ordered online is at least £70 before delivery, so small sizes show £70. For several small pieces, send the sizes through the custom quote form and we'll price them as a batch.
Can I order a size between bands?
Yes. That's what the exact-size box is for.
What's the biggest piece I can order online?
1000 × 1600 mm, or a 950 mm disc. Our cutting bed takes 2500 × 1300 mm, so for bigger pieces send the size through the custom quote form.
What's the smallest piece?
25 mm.
Can I return cut-to-size metal?
Pieces cut to your size are made to order, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. Your rights for faulty or incorrect items aren't affected. See Returns.
